About Us

The Afternotes are a women’s a cappella group based on the seacoast of New Hampshire and Southern Maine. This multi-generation group of UNH alumni bring a fun style and varied repertoire to their performances, showcasing their love of making music. The Afternotes also strive to bring awareness to local causes and raise money for NH and Maine based charities.  Learn more about us.

Upcoming Performances

Join us at the Exeter Festival of Trees on December 4th. As you walk through the beautiful display of decorated Christmas trees, we’ll fill the space with the sounds of the season. We can’t wait to see you there!

We’re so excited to be opening the New Hampshire Notable’s Winter Show taking place at 1pm on December 6th at The University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH! The concert takes place in the Strafford Room in the MUB (Memorial Union Building) at 83 Main Street. 

We’ll close out the holiday season with a return to the Wiggin Memorial Library in Stratham, NH on Wednesday December 17th at 6:00pm. Join us for some holiday cheer! ❄

Previous Performances

Portsmouth Pride on June 21st was as much fun this year as it was last year. Thank you Seacoast Outright for having us again!

We always enjoy spending at Art up Front Street Studios and Gallery, including the March 30, 2025 “Sweet Event“.

Our final performance of the 2024 was at the Wiggin Public Library, in Stratham NH on Monday, December 16th. We had fun singing for AND singing along with such an enthusiastic crowd!

Thanks to all who kicked off the winter season with us on Thursday November 21, at the Exeter Public Library.

We thoroughly enjoyed our fourth(!) appearance at Battle of the Blends in for the Maine Music Society’s annual a cappella concert on Saturday November 2, 2024. What a night!

What a blast performing as part of the Portsmouth Pride celebration on Saturday June 22nd!

On Wednesday March 27 we were part of the Walker Lecture Series, performing along with our friends Tonehenge at the Concord City Auditorium in Concord, NH. Thanks to all who attended!

Our first performance of 2024 was a sweet event! Thanks to Rose at Art up Front Street in Exeter, NH for having us on Sunday February 11.
