About Us

The Afternotes is a women’s a cappella group based on the seacoast of New Hampshire and Southern Maine. This multi-generation group of UNH alumni bring a fun style and varied repertoire to their performances, showcasing their love of making music. Upcoming Performances

We’ll be performing at the Voices of the (603) concert taking place on Friday, March 13th at Saint Anselm College Dana Center, Manchester, NH. Voices of the (603) is an a cappella festival, concert and educational clinics for New Hampshire middle and high school students. We’ll be part of the festival’s evening concert. This is sure to be a great show with groups from around the state, featuring Boston’s Ball in the House. You don’t want to miss this!  Ticket info here.

Previous Performances

Our first performance of 2020 was at Portsmouth Pro Musica’s third annual Live Free and Sing a cappella festival on, January 25th with five other amazing groups. A great afternoon of a cappella!

We had a busy and joyous December at the Rye Public Library on December 4th, On the Marsh for Christmas Prelude December 7th, Exeter Center on December 11th, capped off with caroling at Strawbery Banke’s Candlelight Stroll on December 21st.

A good time was had by all at the South Berwick (Maine) Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 29th.  Thanks again for having us!

A big shout out to everyone who made our April 7 Sing in the Spring concert a huge success!

On Saturday, December 8th, we enjoyed singing a mix of holiday and contemporary tunes as part of the East Kingston Elementary School Holiday Chili Cook Off!

Thanks for another festive evening at On the Marsh for part of the Christmas Prelude celebrations on December 1!
