Want to hear those sleigh bells jingling? Join us at 1pm on on Saturday December 16th, for a performance at the Rye Public Library in Rye, NH. We’ll be performing a set of all your favorite holiday tunes! This performance is free and open to the public.

This will be our second year at the Battle of the Blends, an annual gathering of a cappella groups hosted by the Maine Music Society!
Groups from around New England donate their talent to present a variety of a cappella music, ranging from madrigals to modern jazz and pop, in support of the Maine Music Society.
This event takes place at the Gendron Franco Center in Lewiston, Maine on Saturday November 4th at 7:30pm.
Tickets are $25 general admission, children under 12, $12. Tickets available online here.
On Wednesday October 18th we’ll be providing musical entertainment at the Friends of Hyder Family Hospice House’s Sweet Mystery Dessert Tasting event. This benefit is from 6-8pm at the Dover Elks Lodge at 282 Durham Road in Dover, NH.
Support a worthy cause, enjoy some delicious desserts and a mystery box raffle, along with a cappella music. And, you may learn a little about beat-boxing too!

The Stairwells evolved from an eight-week a cappella class at Traip Academy in Kittery in the early 90’s. At the close of the session, they wanted more and Instructor/music director Ben Baldwin felt the same. They continued rehearsals each week for many years and after a brief hiatus, re-formed in 2010 and continue to sing a repertoire of songs from Rockin’ Gospel to Doo Wop at weddings, fairs, libraries, and multiple large community events.
We will be performing on Wednesday, July 26, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the Plaistow NH Summer Concert Series!
We’ll be joined by The Pow! Arrangers, an amazing Boston-based a cappella group featuring one of our former members, Ali Coes. So bring a blanket or chairs and join us for a beautiful summer evening filled with great music!
The concert will be held on the Plaistow Town Green, located at 145 Main Street, Plaistow, NH 03865.

The Afternotes will be participating once again in the Strawbery Banke Candlelight Stroll!
This popular event takes place during the first three weekends of December at Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth, NH. We will be performing on Sunday, December 18. We will be caroling throughout the grounds starting at approximately 5:00 pm.
Stroll through life in a simpler time as 350 years of American history, winter traditions, and holiday celebrations unfolds around you in New Hampshire’s oldest waterfront neighborhood.

The Afternotes are a Seacoast NH area a cappella group, formed in March of 2013, all former members of the New Hampshire Notables, University of New Hampshire’s original women’s a cappella group. Their repertoire includes a mix of traditional and contemporary with songs by Adele, Sara Bareilles, The Beatles, Prince, Fleetwood Mac and others- and they are so excited to sing for you!

We’ll be providing caroling and cheer at On the Marsh Bistro on December 3, 2016 as part of Kennebunkport’s annual Christmas Prelude.
Prelude is an annual event that takes place the first two weeks December, transforming the town of Kennebunkport into a Christmas wonderland.
For the third (!) year, we’ll be taking part in Prelude by providing dinnertime entertainment at the beautiful On the Marsh Bistro, winner of the Open Table People’s Choice Award. Reservations are highly recommended for the evening of December 3rd!

The New Hampshire Notables from The University of New Hampshire are joining us as our guest group. All of the members of The Afternotes were members of The Notables during our college years, so we’re excited to share the stage with these talented women.

This year we will be supporting Hope on Haven Hill, a Rochester organization whose mission is to provide a nurturing therapeutic home environment for pregnant women with substance use disorder who are seeking recovery. They hope to open their treatment center this fall, where they will provide comprehensive addiction treatment services, family therapy, parenting classes, advancement in education, and life coaching as a way to support families in their recovery from addiction.

Hope on Haven Hill
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Hope on Haven Hill, and additional donations will be accepted during the event.
Tickets are $10 for adults and can be purchased at the door. Children under ten are free.
